As vehicles become increasingly software-driven, cybersecurity is becoming inseparable from automotive engineering and must be built in from day one. Today’s software-defined and autonomous vehicles are exposed to a range of complex threats across multiple attack surfaces, including wireless interfaces like Bluetooth/Wi-Fi, in-vehicle protocols like CAN, and Global Navigation Satellite System spoofing and jamming.
Automotive cybersecurity standard ISO/SAE 21434 provides a clear, risk-based framework that helps manufacturers and suppliers identify, assess and mitigate cyber risks across every stage of the vehicle lifecycle.
