Eight years ago, Applied Intuition set out to accelerate the world’s adoption of safe, intelligent machines. Since then, we have become a global force in autonomy, trusted by industry leaders to solve their toughest challenges. We are pioneering the era of AI-driven mobility, backed by major investors and a strong, growing team.
Today, we are announcing that Applied Intuition has closed its Series F funding, valuing the company at $15 billion. It represents a significant up-round that more than doubled our valuation in just over a year. We are proud to welcome BlackRock as a major new investor, alongside repeat participation from Kleiner Perkins, Fidelity Management & Research, and Lux Capital.
This is not an ordinary funding round. It is an accelerant for our ongoing efforts to lead the shift to vehicle intelligence—a vehicle’s ability to learn user behavior, understand context, connect with other systems, and anticipate and automate everyday tasks. Integrating voice, generative AI, and context-aware automation for all vehicles is part of a vision that goes beyond autonomy.
Our dual-use approach means we bring the speed and innovation of commercial development to our defense customers, and the mission-critical rigor and reliability of our defense work back to our commercial customers. For OEMs, vehicle intelligence enables deeply customized user experiences, rich data intelligence across fleets, and the ability to continually improve products. For defense customers, it delivers mission-ready reliability, enhanced operational efficiency, and the ability to adapt to new challenges rapidly. For people and society, it makes mobility safer, smarter, and more helpful by understanding individual needs and delivering tailored experiences. We are enabling vehicles to understand, anticipate, and proactively serve people and businesses everywhere.
“This Series F funding is a real milestone, not just for Applied Intuition, but for the future of mobility and American innovation. While we are known for our work in commercial segments such as automotive, we’re also deeply involved in defense. So as a dual-use company we are bringing intelligence to everything from cars to mission-critical vehicles,” said Qasar Younis, Co-Founder and CEO. “Vehicle intelligence isn’t just about adding another feature—it’s a fundamental shift. It’s about making vehicles safer, smarter, and more adaptable, and doing it at scale.”
We are also thrilled about our recently announced strategic partnership with OpenAI, which will deliver next-generation, AI-powered automotive experiences. This collaboration will enable natural, context-aware interactions between drivers and their vehicles, anticipate needs, and manage complex tasks such as trip planning and personalized infotainment—all while continuously learning and improving. By combining OpenAI’s advanced large language models with Applied Intuition’s AI-powered vehicle intelligence, we aim to set a new standard for intelligent, adaptive, and personalized mobility across passenger, commercial, and defense vehicles, ensuring seamless connectivity and consistent experiences for drivers and operators everywhere.
Series F: Funding a Transformation in Mobility
BlackRock and Kleiner Perkins led the round, joined by new and existing investors. Their backing accelerates our roadmap and fuels our global growth. This capital lets us more quickly push the frontier of vehicle intelligence, deploying embodied AI across automotive, commercial, defense, and off-road sectors. We are also investing in expansion to new markets, such as the UK, to bring vehicle intelligence to a broader global audience and support our international customers.
Vehicle Intelligence: Powering Every Domain, Every Drive
Only Applied Intuition offers the Vehicle OS, autonomy stack, and foundational tooling to help usher in this new age of intelligence. Our platform fuses autonomy, voice, generative AI, and developer tools so any vehicle, from passenger cars to military fleets, can sense, decide, and act in any environment. Our recent product launches—most notably our modular Vehicle OS and advanced autonomy stacks—are gaining strong traction with OEMs and fleet operators. These pillars enable rapid development, deployment, and scaling of intelligent vehicle features across all domains, setting a new standard for the industry.
In consumer automotive, vehicles take care of us—anticipating needs, keeping us comfortable, reducing hassle, and proactively protecting us. In trucking, fleets coordinate routes, monitor vehicle health, and continuously optimize for efficiency and uptime. In construction and mining, vehicles automate repetitive or dangerous tasks, adapt to changing terrain, and actively assist operators. In defense, unmanned systems operate collaboratively with crewed assets, integrate mission context, and navigate off-network.
“We envision a world where vehicles do more than move people or goods. Whether it’s a car, a military drone, or heavy equipment, each becomes an intelligence system that will anticipate needs and protect what matters most,” said Peter Ludwig, Co-Founder and CTO. “And we see a future where our soldiers can accomplish their missions and defend our country without ever having to step into harm’s way. That’s the promise of vehicle intelligence: Technology that truly serves, safeguards, and empowers across all domains – air, land, and sea.”
We bring vehicle intelligence to life with a full-stack ecosystem: foundation models, autonomy, voice, generative AI, simulation, and developer tools. OEMs and operators use our tech to build, launch, and upgrade smart vehicles for every domain. Here’s how our technology is redefining what’s possible.
- Intelligent, personalized in-vehicle experience: Fusing conversational, multimodal voice assistance and generative AI delivers seamless, context-aware interactions, inside and outside the vehicle. Drivers and passengers enjoy natural voice commands, proactive safety tips, real-time recommendations, dynamic content, and automated tasks, while the system personalizes settings, routes, and entertainment.
- Advanced driver assistance and safety: Massive-scale data and ML infrastructure, neural simulation, AI agents, and full vehicle testing to develop and validate next-generation end-to-end ADAS and automated driving (AD), and general vehicle software.
- Fleet and operational intelligence: Drive efficiency and safety everywhere with real-time data, route optimization, and automated reporting.
- Full autonomy stack and simulation: From advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) to full self-driving, our physically accurate simulation and validation tools accelerate safe deployment on any terrain.
